Where have I been? And some life updates since the day I abandoned this blog

Hi! 

I know that as per my previous entry (which was like almost 5 years ago), I said that I promised to be active in blogging again, especially since I said that I got my Macbook in 2020 (because I said I would be active blogging again if I got that Macbook).

Fast forward nearly five (5) years later, I actually got another Macbook. It's my second Macbook and I am still lazy to blog again lmao.

Okay so let me recap what has happened and/or where and what I have been up to since these past few years:

April 2020 until February 2022

100% online class. I was in Semester 4 until Semester 7 of Law School throughout this period. Oh and I also did my internship during the semester break when I was in my third year (August - September 2021). Oh and I was fully vaccinated in 2021.

April until August 2022

Hybrid physical + online class for my Semester 8, the last semester ever of Law School. The Faculty of Law finally opened for physical (hybrid) classes for students but only for final year students. As there were only a few students, parking spaces at the faculty were abundant, yay!

July 2023 until April 2024

I did my pupillage / chambering or whatever you called it. It's like an apprenticeship programme for law grad before they were finally called to the Bar as a lawyer. I also had my Bachelor of Laws (Hons) convocation in November 2023!

September 2024

Vacation to six European countries with my parents — Switzerland, France, UK, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany!

January 2025

On Friday, 10 January 2025, I was called to the Bar as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya (aka I became a lawyer). 

Speaking of Macbook, on my birthday on 17 January 2025, I received a new Macbook Pro M4 as a gift from my parents, the one I am using to type this blog post! It's both a birthday gift and a gift for my Call to the Bar. Second Macbook yet I am still lazy to blog hahahaha!

I really wish to regularly update on this blog (oh sounds familiar, I said the same thing in 2016 and 2020 too lmao!), but the quality of my writing will nowhere be near to how I used to blog in 2014. And I think I just want to let all my 2014 entries remain in the draft (I reverted all of the 2014 entries as drafts).

My 2014 blog posts are all about my take on certain issues at that time, particularly something pertaining to sociopolitics or culture. But now I just want to write anything, mostly personal stuffs or random.

I think I'm back?

It's been 6 years since I was active and passionate in writing here on this blog. I did write one or two posts a few years ago but I decided to delete them because I just hated them. So where have I been?  I started doing my Diploma in 2015 and after finishing my Diploma in early 2018, I started doing my Bachelor's Degree in the same year and I am still a Degree student (I read Law). I still had time to write but my passion in writing died. I tried to conjure up the passion a few times by re-visiting my blog but it ended with failure. Every time I came to my blog hoping to love writing again, I ended up not knowing what to write. I just stared blankly at my laptop screen, or sometimes I spent hours and hours on re-designing my blog. Looking back at my 6-year-old blog posts, I was so articulate and thoughtful. ODL, online and distance learning, online learning mode, however you would like to call it.  After my one-semester special leave , and when the new semester began, I got back to campus. However, I was one week late because I quit my part time job on the second last day of February and the first day and week of the semester began on the 24th of February. Then, on the 16th of March, two days before the lockdown / movement control order / MCO / PKP however you would like to call it, was enforced in Malaysia, my university announced that no physical classes would be held because COVID-19 cases in Malaysia were skyrocketing. So I only got two weeks of physical classes before the MCO was announced by the Prime Minister.  Of course I thought that it would only be temporary and we would get back to campus within a few weeks. Due to taking one semester off from my study, I had to join the lower batch of the law school and my original batch would be my seniors. I didn't have much chance...
